
Join us in learning how to develop mobile educational games using the Java ME (formerly J2ME) platform and the Mobile Graphics 3D API (M3G). Participants will develop a multi-player collaborative Java ME game and deploy it. The workshop will address all major parts of the game development cycle: game design, art production, programming, and deployment. Development platforms, Nokia N93, and Sony-Ericsson W900 phones will be available for the participants to use during the workshop.

Presenter information:
Carlos Morales is an associate professor of computer graphics technology at Purdue University where he teaches mobile game development. He currently has numerous grants to develop educational games. Prior to coming to Purdue, Carlos worked at High Voltage Software developing console games. He is the co-author for Mobile 3D Games: From Start to Market.
David Nelson is a developer at Purdue University where he specializes in the development of educational games. He is currently leading a team of developers creating mobile games as part of an educational grant. He has worked for Silicon Strorm Entertainment and is the co-author of Mobile 3D Games: From Start to Market .
